Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU)’s Chairman Mr Ali Raza Syed has urged the International Community to take immediate and serious notice of severe situation in the occupied land of Jammu and Kashmir (IHK).
Addressing a seminar in Geneva Mr Ali Raza Syed said, the extrajudicial killing of Kashmiris specially killing of people during the peaceful protest and using pellet guns on the innocent protesters is a usual matter in IHK.
Seminar was arranged by Protection of Women and Children Right headed by Kashmiri leader Syed Faiz Naqshbandi.
International Community should stop brutal violation of human rights committed by the Indian forces in the Held Kashmir, Ali Raza Syed asked.
He urged the human right council of United Nations to dispatch a fact finding delegation to IHK in order to probe the atrocities against the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed said that unfortunately violence and human rights violations in Indian held Kashmir (IHK) are rapidly continued. Murder, rape, disappearances, torture, the use of pellet and bullet guns by the Indian authorities and lack of freedom of speech and restriction on peaceful protest is a matter of routine in the occupied territory, he pointed out.
Mr Ali Raza Syed also spoke during a protest gathering in Geneva arranged by All Parties Hurriat Conference (APHC) Azad Kashmir Chapter. In spite of rain, a large number of the people participated in the protest.
Chairman Kashmir Council EU said, “Indian brutalities cannot deter the people of Jammu and Kashmir from their demand for right to self-determination”.
He called for resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute by the realization of the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, as per the UN Security Council’s resolutions.
A photo exhibition arranged by APHC delegation was also attended by a number of the people from different walks of life. Speaker Azad Kashmir Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir, member house of Lords UK Lard Nazir Ahmad, Opposition Leader at AJK Assembly Ch Yasim and Ch Pervez Ashraf of PPP AJK were also present on the occasion.
The visiting delegation of APHC was comparing Altaf Hussain Wani (Head), Sardar Amjad Yousaf, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Pervez Ahmad and Hassan Bana.
